Abstract

A drive train of a motor vehicle has a front axle () and a rear axle (). An internal combustion engine () is positioned behind the front axle () and in front of the rear axle () in a mid-engine arrangement. A transmission () enables the internal combustion engine to drive the rear axle (). An electric drive () is associated with the front axle () and has at least two electric machines that can drive the front axle ().
