Abstract
In an intermediate connecting unitof superconducting cables, by forming the connecting superconducting wiresin a trapezoid shape tapered in the direction of the electric insulating layer(the superconducting shield layers) sides from the large radius sectionside of the reinforcement insulating layer, the inclined surface sectionscan be covered without spaces and without the plurality of connecting superconducting wires overlapping. The plurality of connecting superconducting wirescover the inclined surface sectionsof the reinforcement insulating layerformed thicker than the radius of the cable coresof the superconducting cables. The connecting superconducting wiresfurther connects the superconducting wiresarranged on the outer periphery of the large radius sectionof the reinforcement insulating layerand the superconducting wiresconstituting the superconducting shield layers
