Abstract

The present invention relates to the use of lipid containing particles, such as liposomes, iscom and/or iscom matrix and posintros, comprising at least one lipid and at least one saponin for the preparation of a pharmaceutical for the treatment of cancer. The saponins are preferably fromMolina. Further, the particles are also delivery systems for one or several compounds for cancer treatment with complementary mechanisms. More, the invention discloses kit of parts comprising at least two parts, wherein one part comprising at least one saponin fraction which is hydrophobic having a killing effect on cancer cell; and the other part comprising at least one saponin fraction which is comparatively hydrophilic, stimulating and modulating the immune response.
