Abstract

The present invention relates to: a pharmaceutical composition or a Nurr1 activating composition for the prevention or treatment of a neurodegenerative disease or a disease induced by impaired Nurr1 function, wherein the composition comprises an active ingredient in the form of genkwanin N or yuanhuacine, aextract comprising one or more of the above compounds, or a fraction thereof; or a functional food additive for preventing or alleviating a neurodegenerative disease or a disease induced by impaired Nurr1 function, wherein the additive comprises genkwanin N or yuanhuacine, aextract comprising one or more of the above compounds, or a fraction thereof; and a method for the prevention or treatment of a neurodegenerative disease or a disease induced by impaired Nurr1 function, wherein the method comprises the step of administering the pharmaceutical composition.
