Abstract
The invention relates to a device () for machining a stepped shaft (), having a workpiece rest (); having a disk arrangement () which has a grinding disk () and a control disk (); and having an axial stop arrangement (), wherein the axial stop arrangement () has a contact adapter () which can be temporarily placed in contact with an end surface portion () of the shaft () and which has a punctiform contact surface () for contact against a stop part () of the stop arrangement ().
