Abstract
An apparatus for producing adhesive tape for sheathing of extended products, having two tape plies, having a carrier material with an adhesive coating. The carrier material being unwound from a feeding roll, the one tape ply with its adhesive coating being laminated against the other tape ply with a lateral projection (Ü, Ü) on at least one side. The carrier material is unwound from a feeding roll, which is configured as a wide roll, on which the carrier material has a greater width than its width required for laminating, and the carrier material is cut into two strips extending in along the tape which have the width required for laminating, the strips being separated and laminated such that each strip forms a tape ply in at least one adhesive tap.
