Abstract
A gas generating system () is provided including a gas generant container () and an initiator (). A gas generant composition () is placed within the container () in ignitable communication with the igniter (). A molecular sieve () is positioned within the housingcombined within the gas generant composition (), or external of the gas generant () but in reactive proximity or vapor communication therewith. A seatbelt device () and a vehicle occupant restraint system () incorporating a gas generating system as described herein are also disclosed.
