An adsorptive carrier includes one or more high-molecular-weight compounds each of which includes two or more aromatic ring-containing repeating units, the aromatic rings being covalently bound to each other via a structure represented by Formula (I): wherein Rrepresents hydrogen or an organic group, and Rrepresents an organic group.
