Abstract
Disclosed is a semiconductor deviceincluding a substrate, a thin film diodethat is supported by the substrateand has a first semiconductor layerhaving a light-receiving region, a thin film transistorthat is supported by the substrateand has a second semiconductor layer, and a metal layerthat has an inclined surfacethat is inclined to the surface of the substrate, in which the thin film diodecan detect light that enters the light-receiving regionand has a prescribed wavelength, in which both the first semiconductor layerand the second semiconductor layerare composed of the same semiconductor film, and in which the inclined surfaceof the metal layerfaces at least a part of the side facesR andL of the first semiconductor layer. This constitution enables an increase in the amount of light absorbed by the thin film diode and an improvement in the effective light reception sensitivity of an optical sensor part.
