Abstract
An intermediate for an acenedichalcogenophene derivative is expressed by formula (1) or formula (2). In the formulae (1) and (2), Arrepresents any one ring of a benzene ring, a naphthalene ring, or an anthracene ring having at least one of hydrogen thereof is substituted with a boronic acid group or a boronate ester group; Y represents an oxygen atom, a sulfur atom, or a selenium atom; and Z represents a substituent group. This intermediate for the acenedichalcogenophene derivative is capable of easily deprotecting the boronic acid group or the boronate ester group and allowing a substitution with a desired functional group, such that a desired synthesis of acenedichalcogenophene derivative, and further a desired synthesis of oligomers and polymers using this obtained acenedichalcogenophene derivative can be achieved.
