Abstract
A rotary vacuum pump includes a suction chamber () in a housing (). A rotor () is eccentrically mounted in the suction chamber (). Sliding vanes () are connected to the rotor (). Further, a discharge channel () is connected to the suction chamber () and to an oil chamber (). A valve () is disposed between the discharge channel () and the oil chamber () in order to prevent the medium from flowing back from the oil chamber () into the suction chamber (). At least one compensating channel () is connected to the discharge channel () and to the oil chamber ().
