Abstract
A belt retractor has a frame (), a belt spool () that is rotatably mounted in the frame (), and a force limiter () that is adapted to reach a force limiting position. A guide-in mechanism () is provided which causes the force limiter () to reach the force limiting position as a function of the length of belt webbing withdrawn.
