Abstract

The control device for a hybrid vehicle including an exhaust-gas driven generator includes: a turbine (); an exhaust-gas driven generator (); a motor generator (); a battery (); and a control unit () for performing overall control based on a result of reading of a status signal. When the control unit determines based on the result of the reading of the status signal that an output of the internal combustion engine is required to be assisted by the motor generator, the control unit further determines whether a power generation by the exhaust-gas driven generator is in an inhibited state or an allowed state. When the control unit determines that the power generation by the exhaust-gas driven generator is in the inhibited state, the control unit stops the power generation by the exhaust-gas driven generator to drive the motor generator by the power from the battery.
