Abstract
A backlight device of the present invention includes: a chassis having a bottom plate; a plurality of LED substratesthat are rectangular and that are arranged such that one end face on the short side of the LED substratefaces the short side of the bottom plate; LEDs arranged on the LED substrates; first through holes that go through the LED substrates; second through holesthat are disposed nearer the end face of the LED substratethan the first through holes, that go through the LED substrates, and that are horizontally longer than the first through holesalong the long side direction of the LED substrates; plate-shaped through holes disposed in the bottom plate; and securing pins that have a size that enables the LED substratesto be secured in the plate surface direction thereof by the securing pins going through the first through holesand plate-shaped through holes, that secure the LED substratesin the short side direction thereof by going through the second through holesand plate-shaped through holes, and that are a size allowing the LED substratesto move in the long side direction thereof.
