Abstract
An extrusion press comprising a pressure ring () having a convex shape rear base () resting in a seat () of a platen (). The convex shape is either spherical or truncated cone shaped so as to relieve onto the platen () the greatest amount of extrusion pressure exerted on the front face () of the pressure ring () of the die pack (). This limits the deformation on the front base () and consequently the geometric variations of the extruded profile ().
