Abstract

A medical injector () includes a medicament container (), a non-manual actuator (), and an adapter () for coupling the medicament container () and the non-manual actuator (). The adapter () includes a proximal end portion () configured to engage a drive element () of the non-manual actuator (). The adapter () also includes a distal end portion () including a surface () configured to engage a movable element () within the medicament container (). The adapter () may include a coupler () having at least one coupling member () configured to removably couple the adapter () to the medicament container (), and also having a connector () configured to removably couple the adapter () to the non-manual actuator (). The drive element () of the non-manual actuator () may apply a movement force to the adapter (), which then pushes the movable element () within the medicament container () to inject medicament into a patient.
