Abstract

There is disclosed a connector system () comprising a contact pin () and a socket () for receiving the contact pin. The contact pin comprises a first groove () extending around the axis () of the contact pin; a coiled spring () within the first groove; and a set of teeth () extending around the axis of the contact pin. The socket () comprises a cup portion (). The cup portion comprises a set of teeth () extending around the axis () of the cup portion () and for engaging with the teeth () of the contact pin; and a first contact surface () inside the cup portion and extending around the axis () of the cup portion for contacting the coiled spring () of the contact pin.
