A closing device, particularly for closing channels conducting pressure medium in a valve receiving body, has a rotationally symmetrical closing element () that is fastened in a seating bore () of a housing (), having a calking site () that is provided on the circumference of the closing element () and that permanently fixes the closing element () in the housing () as a result of the plastic displacement of housing material. The seating bore () includes a transition area in the form of a bore step () between the calking site () and a centering cone surface (). The bore step is recessed into the seating bore () by the plastic displacement of the housing material in the form of a bulge surrounding the closing element ().
