Abstract

Compounds of Formula (I) are disclosed. The variables R-Rare described herein. Certain compounds of Formula (I) are partial agonists of the mu, delta, and kappa opioid receptors, and are useful for treating pain and opioid addiction, with fewer side effects than conventional opioids. Methods for preparing the disclosed compounds, pharmaceutical compositions containing compounds of Formula (I), and methods of treating pain and opioid addiction in patients are also disclosed.
