Abstract

In a money handling apparatus, an inletreceives money of a plurality of different currencies. A control unitcontrols a transport unitsuch that the money is sorted and delivered from the transport unitto the outletsandbased on a money recognition result by a recognition unit. The control unitjudges whether the currency having been recognized by the recognition unitis assigned to any of the outletand. When this happens, the control unittransports the money to the assigned outlet. When the currency of the money having been recognized by the recognition unitis not assigned to any of the outletand, if there is an outlet to which no currency is assigned, the control unitassigns and transports the money to that outlet.
