Abstract

A display control apparatus receives an input of a video signal from an input device and makes a control that causes a video to be displayed on a display apparatus. The display control apparatus includes a capturing unit () configured to capture image data that represents a frame image of the input video signal; a signal detector () configured to detect whether the video signal is input and issue an instruction to cause the display apparatus to display the video or the frame image on the basis of a result of the detection; and a control unit () configured to generate the frame image from the image data captured most recently to cause the display apparatus to display the generated frame image when it is detected that the video signal is not input and the control unit receives the instruction to cause the display apparatus to display the frame image.
