Abstract
Triphenylene derivatives having a structure of formula (1) are provided. Ar represents an aromatic compound, n is 1 to 3, and each of R and Rto Ris a member independently selected from the group consisting of hydrogen, halo, cyano, trifluoromethyl, amino, C-Calkyl, C-Calkenyl, C-Calkynyl, C-Ccycloalkyl, C-Ccycloalkenyl, C-Cheterocycloalkyl, C-Cheterocycloalkenyl, aryl and heteroaryl. The compound of the present invention may function as a host emitter or dopant in the emitter layer of OLED device. An OLED device is also herein provided.
