Abstract
Embodiments of the invention are directed to systems, methods and computer program products for splitting a gift card. An exemplary apparatus is configured to: receive information associated with a gift card, the gift card being associated with a merchant; associate the gift card with an account; and enable selection of an option to split the gift card into a first portion (e.g., a first new gift card) and a second portion (e.g., a second new gift card).
