Abstract

The present invention relates to a bearing system () for a rotary anode () of an X-ray tube (). The bearing system comprises a shaft () for supporting the rotary anode (), the shaft being surrounded by two swash rings (). Further, a gimbal ring () surrounding the shaft () and being arranged in between the two swash rings () is provided. This gimbal ring () is hingeably connected with the shaft () such that the gimbal ring () is tiltable relative to a longitudinal axis of the shaft (). Further, the invention relates to an X-ray tube () and an imaging system () having such a bearing system ().
