Abstract
Methods and apparatuses are provided for transmitting and receiving multimedia contents that include at least two components (C, C). The reception method entails the reception of a first component (C) from a first transmission medium (DVB) and the reception of a second component (C) from a second transmission medium (IP), as well as the steps of: detecting (A) a first 'watermark' sequence from the first component (C), detecting (A) a second 'watermark' sequence from the second component (C), synchronizing (A) the first and second components (C, C) on the basis of the first and second “watermark” sequences, and combining (A) the synchronized first and second components (C, C) to form the multimedia content (MM); of course, the reception method provides the desired results if both components have been suitably and repeatedly marked prior to transmission.
