Abstract

A carbon dioxide recovery unit is provided with: an absorption tower for bringing an exhaust gas into contact with a COabsorbing liquid to thereby absorb and recover COfrom the exhaust gas; a regeneration tower for taking out the COfrom the COabsorbing liquid; a COdelivery line Lfor delivering the taken-out COto a storage process; and a COreturn line Lfor returning the taken-out COto the absorption tower. When a COrecovery unit and a COcompressing device are activated, if a storage process side has some kind of trouble and cannot receive the CO, a destination part to which the COis delivered from the regeneration tower is switched from the COdelivery line Lto the COreturn line L, whereby the COgas is mixed with the exhaust gas in the absorption tower.
