Abstract

A simplified evaluation of messages that control connection setup is made possible by a method for filtering () incoming messages () at a connection controlling element () of a telecommunications network () on the basis of predetermined filtering conditions (). According to this method, the filtering () ensues by comparing () text elements (to) in a received () message () with text elements (to) in a document (), which can be accessed () by the connection controlling element () and which contains the filtering conditions in the form of text elements (to), and by verifying () whether, inside the document (), logical links (to) of filtering conditions (to) apply to the message (), said logical links being specified in an internet page description method (XML).
