Abstract

The disclosure relates to a method of oxidation of an aliphatic C—H bond in an organic compound using CdOor ZnOnanoparticles as oxidizing agents. The instant disclosure relates to a method of oxidizing toluene using metal peroxide nanoparticles such as CdO, ZnOas oxidizing agents to obtain oxidized products predominantly comprising benzaldehyde.
