Abstract
An object of the present invention is to provide a method for producing a fluoropolymer which produces a large number of particles with a small particle size using a specific non-fluorous compound having surfactant ability. The method for producing a fluoropolymer includes aqueous dispersion polymerization of a monomer including at least one fluoroolefin in the presence of a compound represented by the formula: CH═CHCH—O—(C═O)CHXCHCOO(CH)CH(in the formula, X is H or SOY wherein Y is NHor an alkaline metal; and n is an integer of 0 to 19.)
