Abstract

In a vehicle an auxiliary machine () such as an air compressor is physically associated with the vehicle battery (). The battery provides for substantial additional mass which resists transmission of noise and vibration from the small machine to the vehicle structure (). The small machine () may itself form part of a battery clamp arrangement.
