Abstract

The invention relates to compounds of the general formula (I), where Ris a branched alkyl(ene) radical having from 10 to 22 carbon atoms and having at least one branch in position 1, 2, 3 or 4 relative to the oxygen atom, Ris a linear or branched alkyl(ene) radical having from 1 to 13 carbon atoms and Rand Rare selected so that the total number of carbon atoms in formula (I) is from 11 to 23. The compounds of the invention are suitable for preparation of or in cosmetic and/or pharmaceutical preparations, in particular as oily substances.R—O—R  (I)
