Abstract
In a variable valve actuation device for an internal combustion engine, a hollow boss () is fitted around the outer periphery of an outer camshaft () and protrudes from one side of a second cam () located opposite a first cam () in the width direction of the second cam over a distance greater than the width of the second cam, in order to suppress misalignment of the boss.
