Abstract

An electronic device is provided which firmly holds a battery pack at the time of mounting the battery pack, and can easily eject the battery pack at the time of ejection. When a battery packis housed in a battery compartment, and a coveris slid from an attachment start position Pto an attachment completion position Pto cover the battery compartment, a regulation memberdisposed on a rear surfaceof the coveris engaged with a battery pack locking clawof a battery pack holding member, which locks an upper surfaceA of the battery pack. As a result, the movement of the battery pack holding memberin a direction of disengaging the battery pack locking clawis regulated so that the battery packcan be surely prevented from coming off from the battery compartment. Also, when the covermoves to the attachment start position P, the regulation memberis also moved and disengaged from the battery pack locking claw. As a result, the battery pack locking clawof the battery pack holding membercan be moved in the disengaging direction, and the coveris removed so that the battery packcan be easily ejected.
