Abstract

A snare drumhas a hollow cylindrical shell, a batter headmounted on one end of the shell, a snare side headmounted on the other end of the shelland a snare wirewhose both ends are held by the both sides of the shellto span across the surface of the snare side head. The snare side headhas a plurality of through-holes. As a result, the snare drumreduces sound volume while maintaining natural timbre and feeling of striking a snare drum.
