Abstract
A peptide of general formula (I):R-(AA)X-X-Arg-Arg-Gly-X-X-(AA)-R, andcosmetic and pharmaceutical compositions are disclosed that include at least one peptide of general formula (I), in a physiologically suitable medium. Also disclosed are methods for activating human transglutaminase to reinforce the skin barrier function and to stimulate epidermal regeneration and differentiation or for cosmetic treatment to treat signs of skin ageing, which include administering a composition containing the peptide of general formula (I) as an active ingredient.
