Abstract
A prosthetic aortic conduit () for use during surgery on the aorta of a patient. The conduit includes an elongate tubular portion () extending along a longitudinal axis () between a first conduit terminal end () and a second conduit terminal end (). The first conduit terminal end () is configured with two substantially U-shaped tongues () extending away from the tubular portion () generally along the longitudinal axis (). Each of the tongues () is appropriately sized to together collectively approximate the shape of the scalloped bicuspid valve annulus. The second conduit terminal end () is configured with three substantially U-shaped tongues () extending away from the tubular portion () generally along the longitudinal axis (). Each of the tongues () is appropriately sized to together collectively approximate the shape of the scalloped tricuspid valve annulus.
