Abstract
A mobile electronic devicewith an enhanced chassis is disclosed. The devicecan include: a frameincluding an upper portionand a lower portiondefining a narrow profile heighthaving an open topand an open bottom; the frameincludes an interior portionconfigured to surround components in a predetermined arrangement and an exterior portion; the exterior portionof the framebeing connected to a printed circuit board (PCB); and the open topbeing configured to receive components on the printed circuit boardand the open bottombeing configured to receive a battery. Advantageously, the frameheightprovides a narrow profile structural system to securely support and connect components in connection with mobile electronic devices. Beneficially, the height is structurally passive and free from contributing to the Z dimension.
