A cooling device is provided for a battery (). The cooling device has a housing (). To further improve the cooling of batteries, in particular of high-voltage batteries for hybrid vehicles or electric vehicles, the housing () has a liquid-cooling arrangement and an air-cooling arrangement. For winter operation, a heating unit is integrated.
