A connectorcomprises a base memberand a connection filmwhich consists of an insulator filmand conducive portionsformed thereon. Openingsformed in the base memberextend in a direction crossing the pitch direction of contacts. The conductive portionsattached to elastic support portionsof the base memberface the openings, respectively. Therefore, the extension length of each conductive portionof the connection filmcan be larger than the pitch of the contactsso that the height of each contactcan be made higher.
