Abstract

On a mounting substrate, an LD elementand a wavelength converter elementare mounted as optical elements. An end of an optical fiberis fixed, at a given length, in a fiber anchoring grooveof a sub-substrate. The sub-substrateis mounted to the mounting substratewith the surface supporting the optical fiberopposing thereto, and the wavelength converter elementand the optical fiberbeing coupled. By mounting of the sub-substrateto the mounting substrate, the coupling position of the output end of the wavelength converter elementand the input end of the optical fiberis provided an internal position that is a given distance from the end of mounting substrate
