Abstract

Before chuckis opened, coil springis compressed, and coil springapplies downward force to holding nails. Accordingly, when the chuckis opened, resultant force that opens the chuckand the restoring force of the coil springcauses the holding nailsto automatically move in oblique downward directions. As a result, the holding nailsmove to positions that are laterally close to the holding target workpiece.
