Abstract
A Doherty amplifier () is described which comprises an input terminal () for receiving an input signal () and an output terminal () for providing an amplified signal () of the input signal (). The Doherty amplifier () comprises a carrier amplifier stage () with a first signal input () and a second signal input () and a peak amplifier stage () with a third signal input () and a fourth signal input (). A signal splitter () splits and delays the input signal () so that the signal at the first signal input () and the signal at the second signal input () are 180° apart in phase and that the signal at the third signal input () and the fourth signal input () are also 180° apart in phase.
