Abstract
An agitator () is for a liquid analysis system (). It has a chamber () for reception of a sample liquid. A passageway () from the bottom of the chamber () ends in an agitator chamber (). A side wall of the agitator chamber () is formed by a diaphragm (). The diaphragm () is connected to an electric motor () with an eccentric drive for reciprocating movement of the diaphragm (). A gas inlet () in the opposite side of the body () is connected by a passageway () to the agitator chamber (). The agitation chamber has a domed internal face opposed to the diaphragm, by which about 10% of the agitation chamber () volume is displaced by the inward movement of the diaphragm (). Also, advantageously, there is a uniform application of displacement force within the agitation chamber () by virtue of the domed internal surface.
