Abstract

An apparatus for separating and recovering COfrom a COabsorbent, includes: a regeneration tower for regenerating the absorbent that has absorbed COby heating it to separate and remove COtherefrom and to exhaust COgas; a compressor for compressing the COgas exhausted from the tower; and a heat exchanger for heating the absorbent in the tower by exchanging heat with a part of the compressed COby the compressor which is introduced into the tower. The apparatus may include a plurality of the compressors and a plurality of the heat exchangers. The plurality of compressors is arranged in series to sequentially compress the COgas exhausted from the tower. The plurality of heat exchangers is configured so that each part of the COcompressed by the plurality of compressors is introduced to the tower in parallel to exchange heat with the absorbent in the tower.
