Abstract
The invention relates to an incontinence article () in the form of underpants, wherein the crotch segment () overlaps the belly segment () in a front overlapping area () and the crotch segment () overlaps with the back segment () in a rear overlapping area (), wherein the outside () of the crotch segment () is inseparably joined to the inside () of the belly segment () in a front connecting area () and the outside () of the crotch segment () is inseparably joined to the inside () of the back segment () in a rear connecting area (), wherein the connecting area () of the belly segment () and the rear segment () each comprise a first joining area (),) and second joining areas (), wherein the first joining area () extends at least in segment below the absorption body (), and wherein the second joining areas () are provided in an area () crossing each longitudinal edge () of the crotch segment (), thus flashing both a partial area () of the overhang () of the crotch segment () and a partial area () of the belly segment () and/or the back segment () adjacent thereto, and wherein each second joining area () extends in the longitudinal direction (), starting from a transverse edge () of the belly segment () and/or the back segment () facing the crotch, in the direction toward the longitudinal ends () of the crotch segment (), and wherein each second joining area () is formed by joining means () in the form of welding points, particularly ultrasonic welding points, thermal welding points, and/or calender welding points, so that the second joining areas () form reinforcement areas ().
