Abstract

An adhesive fastening element () for holding a workpiece (), the adhesive fastening element () comprising: a body () defining a recess () for receiving a protrusion () of the workpiece (); wherein, in use, adhesive is applied between an end surface of the recess () and an end surface of the protrusion () and between a side surface of the recess () and a side surface of the protrusion () to bond the workpiece () to the adhesive fastening element (). The workpiece () may be aligned with a reference point on the adhesive fastening element () and the adhesive cured to fix the position of the workpiece () relative to the adhesive fastening element ().
