Abstract
An air ion measuring apparatus () is used for measuring the amount of ions in ionized air generated by an ion generating apparatus () having a discharge electrode () and a nozzle () serving as a discharge electrode. The air ion measuring apparatus () has a cylindrical electrode (), and when the length of the cylindrical electrode () is denoted by 'l', a flow rate of air which flows through the cylindrical electrode () is denoted by 'U', detection current which flows in the electrodeis denoted by “I”, time constant is denoted by “τ”, and the detection current “I” is denoted by a current detector (), current generated by passage of ion is calculated by it is possible to measure the amount of ions from the calculated carried ion current “I”, and to measure the amount of ions while splaying the ionized air to an object required to be electrically neutralized.
