Abstract
An agitatorhas a vesselprovided between an upper powder/particulate material supplierand a lower powder/particulate material dischargerto hold therein powder/particulate material to be stirred. The agitatoralso has a stirrerprovided in the vesselto have a stirrer rotating shaftarranged in a horizontal direction and main paddlesfastened to the rotating shaft, and a multi-feederprovided in the powder/particulate material dischargerto have both forward rotation and reverse rotation. The multi-feederhas a discharger rotating shaftand small-size auxiliary paddlesintegrally rotated with the rotating shaftand designed to be smaller in size than the main paddles. In the state of stirring the powder/particulate material in the vesselby means of the stirrer, the agitatorhas stirring assist function during reverse rotation of the multi-feederto cause the auxiliary paddlesto stir up the powder/particulate material in the powder/particulate material dischargerand feed the powder/particulate material back into the vessel. The agitatoralso has discharge function during forward rotation of the multi-feederto discharge the powder/particulate material out of the powder/particulate material dischargerand the vessel. This arrangement effectively prevents the powder/particulate material from being accumulated in any dead space, while reducing the total height of the powder/particulate material discharger of the agitator.
