Abstract
Disclosed is a maintenance device for an elongate, tubular hollow member () designed to conduct a fluid. Said maintenance device comprises a sealing mechanism () which is to seal a working zone () relative to surroundings () of the hollow member () and can be moved in one direction along the hollow member (). A side of the sealing mechanism () that faces the hollow member () forms an at least partially curved surface and can be moved in the longitudinal direction of the hollow member (), especially in order to be placed in the sealing position. A method for servicing an elongate, tubular hollow member () is also claimed.
