Abstract
A protection monitoring circuitincludes a protection circuitwhich detects at least one of overcharge, overdischarge, and overcurrent of a chargeable and dischargeable secondary batteryand protects the secondary batteryby performing an ON/OFF control of transistors Mand M, and a secondary battery monitoring circuitwhich detects a state of the secondary battery. The protection circuitsupplies a power supply voltage to the secondary battery monitoring circuit. If overdischarge of the secondary battery is detected, the protection circuitinhibits the supply of the power supply voltage to the secondary battery monitoring circuitafter a predetermined time has elapsed or after a control signal for inhibiting the supply of power supply voltage is received from the secondary battery monitoring circuit
